Sighișoara Blues Festival is the first prestigious event of it’s kind in Romania that is bringing exceptional international artists to the country in order to promote Blues Music to a public that is growing more and more every year.

History of the Festival

The Festival started in 2005 and is being organised by the Sighișoara Blues Cultural Association, with the support of Sighișoara Town Hall, each year in the last week-end of March. During the Festival, other than the two main concerts that take place every evening at Mihai Eminescu Hall in Sighișoara, with a capacity of 500 seats and great acoustics, there is a daily workshop offered by the artists, open air concerts in the Medieval Citadel of Sighișoara and monumental jam sessions.

International Artists

Exceptional international artists have performed at Sighișoara Blues Festival throughout the years, such as Corey Harris, Sugar  Blue, Johnny Winter or Bob Brozman. Also, The Jimmys (multiple Grammy nominees) have recently released an album with songs recorded live during the 2015 edition of the Festival, while the legendary bluesman Johnny Winter has celebrated his Birthday right on the Festival’s stage in 2012. We could evoke many more historical episodes such as these, but there is not enough time for it right now…

Since we are part of Sighișoara Blues Festival’s Story…    

We are supporting the Festival each year with our Marketing and Communication Services. We created 3 versions of the website since the Festival’s debut in 2005 and in 2010 we became a Strategic Partner for Sighișoara Blues Festival, managing it’s Branding Strategy and the entire Communication for the Festival.

What were the results? 

We are happy to see that numbers are growing every year. So far there have been over 75000 visits on the Festival’s website (mainly from Romania, Germany, UK, USA, Brasil, Hungary etc). There have been over 22000 articles written about Sighișoara Blues Festival and there are over 5200 videos filmed during the Festival on YouTube. After 12 years from it’s debut, the Festival had over 6000 people attending it’s live concerts, 54 artists on stage and over 2100 hours of quality live music.
