Hello! I’m Craftuletz, the robot. I live online and nobody can contest my veeeeery deep understanding of searches, online interactions and other digital elements. So, who else would would be given such an important task but me?

Here I am, all yours, ready to tell you… everything you need to know about SEO in 2019!

Ready? Set! Craft!

Firstly, keep this in mind that what SEO can do for your site, nobody and nothing else can!

If you’re not yet convinced of SEO optimization’s efficiency, you’ve already lost precious points in Marketing class.

And in a cliched way of putting thing plainly, everything begins and ends with an updated, precise, optimized and well documented strategy. Take my word for that!

Well, while 2018 proved to be one year full of big changes in matters of SEO development strategies, it is expected that 2019 will raise more challenges to the marketers. In order to maintain your high ranking in people’s online searches and preferences, you must adapt to their communication styles.

To begin with, it’s important to start thinking S.M.A.R.T. Just like I do. In other words, your SEO goals for this year have to be:

  • Specific. Decide what exactly you want to achieve and avoid setting too general goals. It is vital to begin with goals you can fulfill by the end of the year.
  • Measurable. To know exactly to what extent have your strategies contributed to the online activity’s success, make sure you meter them precisely. This way, you will know if these methods were truly efficient or you need to insist more in 2020.
  • Achievable. Are you really looking to achieve your goals this year or you just fool around making plans? Nowadays, you have so many growing opportunities you cannot ignore a plan that includes realistic and achievable goals. Nor can you make such mistakes when so many open doors (tabs) are waiting for you online.
  • Relevant. What’s for sure is that you should never expect to achieve the same results as other companies. Your business is unique and so is the market. Therefore, you need to come up with a relevant plan to your business as well as to your logistics and financial capacities.
  • Time-Bound. Set up a deadline. Another one, I know… Now, whether you choose to analyse your progress on a weekly basis, monthly or you’d rather do that two or three times a year, always keep an eye on each change SEO generates on your site. You either go big or stay offline!

Whether you were already S.M.A.R.T. or not, now you’re just S.M.A.R.T.-er and if you read this article to the end, you will become the S.M.A.R.T.-est in the business!

Luckily, I’m here to tell you what you need to focus on in 2019.

1. Mobile Search

Most people nowadays use their phone to navigate online. To keep up with this new trend, Google has begun indexing all pages that have this new format. Now, all I hope is that your site already has a responsive design. Come on, it’s 2019 already!

Even right now, you’re probably holding a device that offers so many online possibilities. That’s why even the SEO algorithms have changed recently in accordance to the latest online marketing trends. Voice searches have become more popular which leads to a change in the key-words and phrases people search by.

Under these new circumstances, are you truly seeking to be listed among the first options Siri or Cortana offer? Then you do have to revise and update all the key-words on your site right away to let people find you easily.

Plus, I’m pretty sure you don’t actually want to lose those 89 mil. people who use voice search on their mobile, do you?

2. The Loading Speed

Hello! Welcome to the future, it’s the century of speed! I can guarantee you don’t want to be named the Turtle of the Century so you’d better invest in your site’s infrastructure.

Reaching the top of Google searches depends not only on the quality of your content, but on giving people the option to access your site on their mobiles, tablets, desktop or all together at the same time. Crazy and yet true!

I find no good excuses that your site might still be sloooowly loading, affecting the online experience people expect.

But let me tell you something! No matter how much time, money and energy you invest in your site, SEO is still not a virtual wizard. You’d better optimize your site’s speed first.  Been there, checked that!

3. Imagine it, record it, post it

With so much content delivered per second, Google is permanently working hard to index and update the best and most appreciated pages. Google might actually work as much as I do.

Trust me, video content is your ace! It stands out, provides much information in a short time, reduces your pages’ bounce rate and can get your site to the top! Could you ask for more?

All you must do is create high quality videos to replace those long boring captions or texts which I see everywhere.

4. Error 404

Do you have any idea how much your site loses because of Error 404 pages?

Naturally, people never trust these kinds of pages. Don’t you get the same feeling? However, for us, robots, things don’t work the same. But that’s another story for another time.

In order to avoid any disappointing experience or lowering your Google ranking, I recommend you rapidly personalize the Error 404 pages, if you have any.

But that’s not all!

In this situation, adapt your SEO strategy and use a call to action button on this new personalized page to redirect visitors. This way, you can keep visitors on the site and improve their online experience here. Advantage – you!

5. Living with a robot…

craftuletz

…is better than anything else!

Everything considered SF no earlier than a few years ago is already happening, like having an AI colleague. And my team can confirm that.

Many businesses have created their own chatbots, just like me, which permanently interact with visitors and help in site navigation and decision-making processes.

Each chatbot’s personality can influence the conversion rate more than you’d hope for, I’m telling you! We can guide your visitors, even convince them to spend more time on the site, buy more and use your tools wisely.

What does this mean in SEO terms?

Success and reaching the top Google searches. That’s the main aim, for sure. A robot contributes to page optimization using key-words picked from people’s searches and questions. Simple and very useful.

If my super colleagues would have given me more space, I could write a top 100 for 2019. Even so, I shared a few more tips and tricks with them. They’re so nice and I am sure they will keep them for their projects only. If you hope they share those ones with you too, find them online.
